K-Learn
Let’s study hangul!
Korean Alphabet (Hangul)
a = ㅏ b/p = ㅂ j = ㅈ d = ㄷ
g/k= ㄱ s
= ㅅ yo = ㅛ yeo
= ㅕ
ya = ㅑ ae
= ㅐ e
= ㅔ yu
= ㅠ
u = ㅜ m
= ㅁ n
= ㄴ ng
= ㅇ
l/r = ㄹ h
= ㅎ o
= ㅗ eo = ㅓ
i =ㅣ g'/k'
= ㅋ t
= ㅌ ch
= ㅊ
p’ = ㅍ eu
= ㅡ
Each vowel
appears at the beginning of the sentence, eg 애교 (aegyo) then added “ㅇ” in front of “ㅐ”.
We start by translating the lyrics of the song. We use the lyrics
that simple, for example the lyrics of "Blind" from TRAX, part reff.
단 한 번만 한 번만 날 찾아봐 제발
dan han beonman han beonman nal chajabwa jebal
단 한 번만 한 번만 날 찾아봐 제발
Only once once me look
for please
This means the Korean writing system is different from
the English system. When it translates per word, the true meaning will be
upside down.
The true meaning of the lyrics above is, "only
once, only once look for me, please". But if it is translated per word,
the word "me" appears first from the word "look for".
We
use another
example. The lyrics of "Hug me once" from Girls'
Day.
한 번만 안아줘 한 번만 웃어줘 한번만 느껴줘
Hanbeonman anajwo hanbeonman useojwo hanbeonman neukkyeojwo
한 번만 안아줘 한 번만 웃어줘 한번만 느껴줘
Once hug once smile once feel
But if it is defined as such, his words will not be understood. then we can interpret its own that the word "hug" the precedence from "once" and added with the "me" in between "hug" and "once" to form a good sentence. "Hug me once".
Hope you like this post..
